What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

Patient safety and state of the art Sterilization protocol is of the utmost concern at Alliance Family Dentistry. We employ the most recent Sterilization and Infection Control recommendations set out by the Center for Disease Control and the American Dental Association.

We use disposable, single use instruments and supplies whenever possible to eliminate the potential for cross contamination from patients or staff. Non-disposable instruments, drills and other metal devices are manually scrubbed, ultrasonically cleaned in an enzyme solution, wrapped in hospital grade material and then subjected to steam sterilization under extreme pressure at more than 250 degrees F for 30 minutes. This renders the instrument packs operating room clean and free of all possible germs.
The sterilizer function itself is monitored with weekly spore tests to verify that correct temperature, pressure and time is maintained.
Before and After each patient is seated, the operatory chair, counter tops and delivery unit is cleaned and wiped with an approved hospital grade disinfectant to render them free of common viruses, fungus or other common germs.
All staff members wear a mask, gown, glasses and disposable non-latex gloves when rendering patient treatment.
We are serious about maintaining our rigid infection control standards and continuously enforce meticulous, careful and thorough protocol to protect our patients and staff.
